Heating with biomass offers America a unique opportunity to use local, environmentally-friendly energy sources to offset imported fossil fuels.
Carbon neutral – recognized by the Kyoto Protocol as such because wood pellets have net zero carbon emissions by balancing the amount of carbon released with the amount offset.
Renewable – Wood pellets are produced from byproducts from other industries, or from other sustainable sources.
Local – Wood pellet production and the resulting supply stream employs tens of thousands of US workers, and has the potential to grow even more green jobs.
We’re working with the Alliance for Green Heat to help spread the word about biomass heating. Check out their Web site for even more information, or to learn how to get involved!
